刘耀光,华南农业大学教授,亚热带农业生物资源保护与利用国家重点实验室副主任。国家杰出青年基金资助获得者。1982年华南农业大学本科毕业,1991年获日本京都大学植物遗传专业博士学位。19911996年在日本三井植物生物技术研究所从事生物技术研究。主要从事植物基因工程、分子遗传与分子生物学研究,在杂交稻育性分子遗传机制方面取得突出成绩。主要成果在NatureGeneticsAnnual Review of Plant Biology PNAS Plant Cell Molecular Plant等刊物发表论文90多篇,被引用4000多次。获发明专利6项,获广东省科学技术奖一等奖1项。获全国优秀留学回国人员成就奖、全国五一劳动奖章、全国师德标兵、广东省南粤百杰培养计划。
