Summary Dr. Nansheng Chen is a tenured full professor in the Department of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at Simon Fraser University, a top Comprehensive University in Canada. Dr. Chen is also a Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research (MSFHR) Scholar and a Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) New Investigator. He was a vising professor at Fudan University (2008-2010) and senior visiting professor at Tsinghua University (2012-2013). Dr. Chen has established himself as an expert in bioinformatics and genomics and has published >60 research articles in journals including Science, Nature Neuroscience, Neuron, PNAS, Genome Research, PLoS Computational Biology, and Genome Biology. His research on malaria genomics has attracted extensive media coverage.
